2024 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
Overview
Oasis International African Center of RI Oasis International is a nonprofit organization serving the African immigrant Community and the low-income neighborhood of West End, Elmwood, Upper Southwest Providence, Lower Southwest Providence, and Washington Park. We are now accepting applications for our 2024 scholarship. The purpose of the scholarship is to aid and offer supplementary financial assistance to students seeking education in post-secondary institutions to help cover the cost of educational expenses.
Application Submission
Submit scholarship application to info@oasisri.org or drop off a hard copy to 600 Broad Street, Providence, RI 02907 no later than September 30, 2024
Eligibility
- Students must be Rhode Island residents
2. Students must be a senior in the fall of 2023 with the goal of attending an accredited post-
secondary school in fall of 2024 (university, college. trade school)
3. Must write an essay of no more than 1,000 words outlining the importance of community.
4. Must submit completed application along with essay & official school transcript

We at Oasis International understand the importance of community and know the impact it can have on a person. Please answer the following questions in no more than 1,000 words.
Throughout your years in high school and as you prepare for your secondary education journey, how has your community impacted you and supported you? How have you contributed to your community?
